After having chosen the city of Jendouba, as an administrative center, on a local and regional scale, it was necessary to equip it and to improve life conditions there. It was only possible through a specialized establishment that is the town hall. On September 25, 1887 municipal committee was created, then a second decree dated June 7, 1896 stipulating to replace the committee by a town council.
